About
April 5, 2018
Baba Yaga is based in Hudson New York. The gallery opened in May of 2018 with a solo show by Jenni Crain in an apartment building in Hudson New York. This was followed by two more shows in the same space - and then two group shows, first at Pulver's Glass on Green Street and then at the former LoneStar Cement Plant. Since the Spring of 2020, the gallery has existed at 5821 NY State Route 9-G. During this time the gallery also staged an exhibition inside a hollow snow pile in the former Shop Rite parking lot off Fairview Avenue. The gallery is run in the spirit of Baba Yaga, a magical witch with a house in the woods; a link to the underworld.
